The method of making this Damascus steel ring is the same in principle as the ancient techniques that produced legendary blades.  The quality of the steel used in this ring is, however, far beyond that found in an ancient sword.  Stainless stock is produced in Sweden using an advanced metallurgy technology.  The result is the best combination of hardness and strength to be found in any stainless steel.  

Steel is fused together and folded, heat and acid is then applied etching the material at different rates to produce a unique pattern.  Please note the exact pattern will be slightly different in every ring.  The size you order has the greatest impact on the pattern of the steel.  The grain will be more spread out on a large ring and less so on a smaller ring.  Please be aware that as an etched material, the ring does have texture.
